Marketing Communications (MARCOM) Specialist

BrewtonMos is seeking a MARCOM Specialist for our Largo, Maryland office in the Washington, DC Metro Area. The MARCOM Specialist serves as the liaison between the BrewtonMos creative team and its clients and coordinates the development of all marketing and communications products and services from concept to launch. Our creative team includes writers, graphic designers, and web developers. He/She also serves as the “Quality Assurance Specialist” for the company ensuring that products and services are delivered according to specification, in high quality, and by the designation deadline. The ideal candidate will have strong project coordination skills, excellent proofreading and editing abilities, and impeccable attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft content for marketing collateral, including web content, brochure copy, and social media contents;
  • Support web development team on web development projects;
  • Craft high level messages for marketing campaigns;
  • Draft media tools, including press releases, media advisories/alerts, etc;
  • Conceptualize and draft white papers, fact sheets, articles, etc;
  • Work with creative team to create marketing collateral;
  • Update/Maintain content at client websites using Content Management Systems (CMS); and
  • Maintain content on clients’ social media sites.

Project Coordination Duties:

  • Consult with clients to determine their marketing and communications needs;
  • Serve as the liaison and point of contact to clients, creative team, vendors and suppliers;
  • Assign tasks to creative team and subcontractors;
  • Collaborate with members of the creative team to ensure project specifications are met;
  • Develop and enforce project timelines and oversee/manage the flow of projects;
  • Review projects for quality assurance;
  • Assist in the development of processes and procedures for effective service delivery; and
  • Represent BrewtonMos at tradeshows and conferences as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field;
  • Minimum of two (2) years copy writing and editing experience;
  • Strong computer and Internet skills;
  • Be detail-oriented, thorough, and deadline driven;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (PhotoShop, Illustrator or InDesign) a plus;
  • Proficiency in managing social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, Instagram, etc.);
  • Strong organizational skills; and
  • Professional demeanor/appearance and ability to interact with business clients.

Administrative Assistant

BrewtonMos seeks a skilled self-starter to provide administrative support to client organizations. Candidate must have strong administrative and writing skills, possess a professional demeanor and be able to work independently with little supervision.

  • Draft office correspondence
  • Complete and maintain expense reports
  • Monitor and handle incoming and outgoing electronic communications on behalf of the CEO
  • Arrange travel reservations and schedules for executive
  • Answer phones and respond to caller requests
  • Draft meeting minutes/agendas
  • Prepare all outgoing mail, including membership mailings
  • Maintain member records/data base
  • Set up/maintain filing system
  • Interact in person and over the phone with both internal and external stakeholders including, members, board members, corporate partners, government officials, executives and consultants, to coordinate a variety of executive meetings, conference calls, etc.
  • Manage logistics of board & advisory meetings
  • Maintain office supply and equipment
  • Assist consultants/service providers as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years office/admin experience
  • Must have excellent oral & writing skills, particularly the ability to draft business correspondence
  • Must have experience coordinating executive meetings
  • Must be computer savvy (strong knowledge of MS Office)
  • Must be able to prioritize/manage multiple projects and follow through on issues in a timely manner
  • Must have experience arranging travel for managers/executives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with a trade association or nonprofit organization
  • Associates degree or higher preferred

Writer/Communications Specialist

BrewtonMos seeks a Communications Specialist (Copy Writer) to support clients by conceptualizing, writing, and editing internal and external communications. This includes: marketing communications, media tools, web content, electronic communications, and publication development. This position also participates in other marketing related communications projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in English, Journalism, Marketing or Communications
  • Minimum of two (5) years experience in gathering information, writing and editing marketing communications
  • Must have passion for writing and a comfort working across communication platforms including: print, radio, on-line and video.
  • Must be able to provide a portfolio of writing samples demonstrating creativity and cross-platform capabilities.
  • Must possess strong computer skills. Must be proficient in MS Office to include: Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.

Online Marketing Specialist (Freelance Position)

The Online Marketing Specialist develops and implements marketing strategies for BrewtonMos clients. The person in this role leverages existing social media platforms and other Internet tools to raise awareness of client brands, develop and maintain client blogs, drive traffic to client sites, monitor and report on website activity, and implement strategies aimed at engaging target audiences, as well as developing online marketing tools.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a strong knowledge of inbound marketing and other online marketing strategies
  • Must be an excellent writer with blogging experience
  • Must have demonstrated experience leveraging social media tools (i.e. Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, RSS, etc)
  • Must have a strong knowledge of Google Analytics and other web analytical tools.
  • Must have strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
