BrewtonMos is a full service communications, marketing, and public relations firm based in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. Formerly, StrateComm, LLC, the agency was formed in 2007. We maintain a talented creative team with more than 50 years combined experience in communications, graphic design, public relations, web development, and strategic marketing.

The Story Behind Our Logo
Ancestral. Versatile. Strategic.
The name, BrewtonMos, pays homage to CEO and founder, Kathleen Moore’s, family roots while emphasizing the critical role of strategy in business success.
Kathleen is a descendant of the Brewton family of Georgia, and a native of Savannah. Her values and beliefs are deeply rooted in southern African American traditions passed down by her father Cecil Brewton and her mother Mosezit—the Mos in BrewtonMos.
Her parents were instrumental in shaping her views on life, her responsibility in being a productive member of society, and the ethics that guides her path. Kathleen credits her keen business acumen and strong work ethic to her mother and her father.
In discussing her upbringing, Kathleen would often say, “I shadowed my mother closely which taught me how to work hard. It is by the guidance of my father that I learned how to work smart.”
So Why the Queen Chess Piece?
Chess, without question, is the most strategic game in existence. As BrewtonMos’ solutions are based on strategy, it is fitting that our logo features the most powerful piece in the game of chess—the Queen!
